9 Things Every Bride Should Do the Night Before Her Wedding

You’ve spent months planning your big day, it seems like it’s all flown by, and tomorrow you’ll be the bride you’ve been imagining. These months of planning, preparation, and expense have finally led to tomorrow, but your job still isn’t finished. It’s time to become the radiant bride, and that will happen because of what you do (and don’t do) the night before your wedding. At the Historic Pinecrest, we know how hard you’ve worked for this day, and we want to help you make it everything it can be. Here are a few things every bride should consider doing the night before her big day.

Do a Face Mask

Your face is the canvas, and tomorrow you’ll be applying all of the paint to create a beautiful picture. Clean up your “canvas” by using a face mask to deep clean your pores and remove and debris that is deep down. Be sure that you’ve used this mask before, though, because you don't want to break out with an allergic reaction.

Use Under-Eye Cream

Even with a good night’s sleep and plenty of water - it doesn’t hurt to go the extra mile. Add a quality under-eye cream to ward off any puffiness.

Say No To Alcohol

We know that you just want to enjoy your wedding weekend, but there will be plenty of time to celebrate on your wedding day. It can be hard to enjoy your day wen you start out bloated or even hung over. Stick to drinking water and you can slip into your beautiful gown the next day.

It’s Bed Time!

You’ll be giddy with excitement, but you have such a big day ahead that getting plenty of sleep will be extremely important. Set your bedtime, let other people know, and then stick to it - even if your bridesmaids have to drag you there and tuck you in.You’ll feel amazing after a good night’s sleep, and it will also help ward off puffy skin and bags under your eyes.

Log Off Social Media

It can be tempting to get online and check in with friends but this is such a special event that you’ll probably want to keep it special and private. Not to mention, the most exciting part of your big day is the anticipated reveal, so keep it secret.

Write a Letter to Your Beloved

If your big day has you getting sentimental, pull out some stationary and a pen and write it down. You can pen a beautiful letter to your soon-to-be spouse and have someone deliver it to them on the day of your wedding.

Schedule a Final Meeting With the Wedding Planner

Whether you’re hiring a coordinator, or you're using the services we provide at the best wedding venue in Colorado Springs - touch base the night before. Dot your i’s and cross your t’s, go over your timeline and maybe even put in some final requests like what you'll need at the salon or who to call if a vendor needs something. It’s officially in the hands of your planning team from now on, so take a moment to dislodge and prepare for your day.

Check In For Your Flight

In some situations, the earlier you check in, the better. You could even get upgraded or be alerted for any delays or cancellations.

Kick Back and Watch a Chick-Flick with Your Girls

You aren’t too old to enjoy a good romantic comedy with your favorite girls! Grab some healthy snacks, and have some “girl only” time!
